Production Update

The Duffer Brothers, the showmakers of the popular Sci-Fi Netflix show, revealed that production is about halfway complete, with filming expected to wrap around Christmas. On Sunday, Netflix celebrated the half-way point of production with a sneak peak at the final chapter of the show, which could be the most exciting season yet.

What We Can Expect from Season 5

Remember the last cliffhanger of season 4? “The Hawkins Crew Facing A Bigger-than-ever end-of-day apocalypse”. Who wouldn’t be? Well, we’ll be answering all your questions about season 5 of the popular Netflix sci-fi series. So, read on to know more.

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of the show, answered questions about the future of the show. They said that the 5th season will see everyone back in Hawkins, with most of the action being in the Upside Down. “This is about everyone finally coming back. Coming back together, coming back to Hawkins.” Matt Duffer told Collider during an interview.

The brothers aren’t ready to say goodbye to Max. Yes, we’re anticipating that even though the finale of season 4 saw Max as brain dead and blind with all her bones broken, she will be back in season 5, if only to say goodbye to Hawkins and her friends.

Is Eddie Munson Returning?

Although it’s not been confirmed if Eddie Munson, who dies after sacrificing himself in the finale of season 4, will be back or not, but he’s made it clear that he would be up for it.

Will’s Role in the Finale

Another thing to note is that Will be playing a huge role in the finale of the last season. Teasing these speculations, Noah Schnapp, playing the role of Will Byers, stated, “It started with Will, and it’ll end with Will.” And since he’s still connected to Vecna, Stranger Things villain, we’re hoping for a Will and Vecna face-off.

Regarding the production, The showmakers said that season 5 would have fewer scenes and be shorter than the last four seasons, because the characters don’t need any introduction into the supernatural scene of Hawkins, or all the adjusting it took into highschool, into relationships etc. like they did in season 1.

New Cast Member

In another shocking news, Netflix revealed in its sneak peak that Linda Hamilton, Stranger Things super fan and Terminator icon, will be a part of Stranger Things 5. “I love this show so much I really am a fan,” she said regarding her involvement in the final season. And we can’t expect anything but the best from the three-time Golden Globe nominated actress.

The Cast’s Emotional Farewells

And it’s not only us who’s going to miss Hawkins after season 5 is done. Gaten Matarazzo, playing Dustin Henderson on the show, said regarding, “This is home, you just remember why you’re doing it and how much fun you have.”

Vecna will, once again, be returning as Eleven’s most formidable enemy in season 5. Jamie Cambell Bowers, playing Vecna, says that he will miss his co-stars: “At the end of season 4, I burst into tears, because I love these guys so much.”

Millie Bobby Brown, playing the main protagonist Eleven, said in an interview with ET: “It all started when I was 10, and I’m 20 years old now, feels very weird. It’s really strange because you grow up with these people and you love them so much, and then you then you have to say goodbye, and it’s like we don’t get to do what we love to do anymore.”

As her final words, she said: “But it’s not the end of friendship, and I feel very lucky that I was able to have that opportunity.”

Well, it’s mutual, because we feel lucky to have known Eleven through her phenomenal performance.
