After the Queen tossed her hat in the beauty brand ring with Cécred, we couldn’t have been more excited to try her products. And it had also been about time, what with all the other celeb beauty brands. We’ve had Riri’s Fenty Beauty, Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Anomaly Hair.
The brand has an endless line of award-winning hair care products that were collectively able to score 11 awards within the 5 months that they’ve been out. All products are color safe and safe for human hair wigs and weaves.
First, let’s talk about the packaging because Cécred certainly delivers in the aesthetics department. The packaging is not only visually stunning but also, making it a luxurious addition to your shower routine.
If you’re looking for hair care that focuses on hydration and moisturizing to provide nourishment, then look no further. We tried some of the products from the brand, and these were our thoughts.
Hyaluronic acid-infused shampoo
This luxurious, hyaluronic acid-infused shampoo has earned itself a Healthy Beauty Award from the Self Magazine. The shampoo goes deep on hydration, leaving your hair visibly nourished, manageable, and strong. And we guarantee that it works better than other hydrating products because after applying the shampoo, your hair will eat up the nourishment after you step out of the shower.
Infused with our antioxidant-rich African oil blend, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and moisturizing Phyto-Collagen Complex. Although it can be used for all hair types, it gives curly hair that extra definition that even regular curl creams can’t.
Moisturizing Deep conditioner ($38)
This one was our personal favorite. Another product that won itself the Self magazine Healthy Beauty Award, this Deep conditioner’s speciality is to bring dehydrated and dull hair back to life. This ultra-rich formula is infused with an African oil blend and shea butter to moisturize, soften, and improve manageability.
The moisturizing Deep Conditioner can be used after the shampoo, or even before. All it takes is 5 minutes to apply, 30 minutes under a hooded dryer, steamer or warm towel, 5 minutes of rinsing thoroughly and you’re good to go. You can add some styling products to the last step as required.
Moisture sealing lotion ($38)
Frizz? What’s that? This creamy and smooth concoction will make you forget about bad hair days and give you defined curly hair. It just dissolves in your hair and provides the moisture your hair needs, all without leaving it feeling greasy or with any build up. Most moisturizing lotions if you keep layering over top of each other will leave your hair sticky and stiff…not this one!
Tip: To refresh the look throughout the week, I mixed a small amount of moisture sealing lotion and water in a spray bottle and applied each morning. The perfect wet & go!
