Sabrina was, without doubt, right when she sang these lyrics in her song, Please please please. She is so so relatable that it’s pretty effing difficult to not like her songs. And tbh, in this generation, that’s what matters, and that’s what makes her the rising star of Hollywood. She is one of those few all-rounder icons of Hollywood who have excelled at both music and acting as a career. She’s been known to serve hits at both her music endeavors and her acting career.
Versatile Acting career
Her acting career began first, in 2010 with a guest role on the NBC drama Law & Order: SVU. Then, she landed the lead role in popular disney channel series, “Girl Meets World,” an all time favorite of all 2010’s kids.
Carpenter is known to do versatile roles where she has a talent of giving depth to her character. Rising star in Hollywood. From the rebellious Maya Hart in “Girl Meets World” to the troubled Mandy in the film “The Hate U Give.”
Her role in “Work It,” as a timid, scared teenager, who discovers her love for dance, deserves a special mention, since it goes completely against all her previous roles—and her actual personality, to boot.
Making Viral Hits on Viral Hits like there’s rent due
Her musical career has very recently taken off, though, and it seems like it doesn’t have a mind to land. Her talent was recognized by prestigious organizations, including the Radio Disney Music Awards and the Teen Choice Awards.
She has consecutively released viral hits that manage to stay on top of the charts for weeks on end. One of these, the new single, Please Please Please has stayed in the Top 1 of the Billboard chart for 4 weeks now. And her viral single before that, Espresso, wasn’t much behind, earning itself a spot in the Top 3 for 12 consecutive weeks.
The singer’s 2022 album, “Emails I Can’t Send”, which features hits like “Nonsense,” “Feather” and “Because I Liked a Boy” peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking it her highest-ranking attempt on the list.
Her sixth album, Short ‘N’ Sweet, supported by the two pre-released singles, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” will be released on 23 August 2024.
“This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she wrote below an instagram post of herself looking over her shoulder with a red kiss mark on her arm.
Sabrina is the Gen Z role model that we’ve been looking for
She has always been an empowering role model through her music and acting. She promotes positive messages of self-acceptance, resilience, and pursuing one’s dreams through her music.
And what’s more, she has collaborated with the all-time favorite singer Taylor Swift recently for the Eras Tour. To the excitement of both their fans, Taylor Swift has congratulated Sabrina on her summer of success, and expressed that she wants it to ‘Continue Forever.’
And more good news to come, in February, the 25-year-old pop star confirmed in an Interview conversation with Maya Hawke that she was working on the follow-up to her 2022 fifth studio album, Emails I Can’t Send. So here’s to waiting for her new album—and to her continued success.
